If you’ve been shopping for a new device this year, there have been a lot of new entrants into the flagship Android arena that you simply can’t get your hands on (yet). OEMs in China like Vivo, Oppo, and Honor have released some of their best devices ever, but without any news on global availability in the future.
Well, you can tick one of them off that list, as Oppo has just confirmed that it is going to be bringing the Oppo Find X8 series to global markets, and pretty soon too. The 21st of November is the date, and ColorOS 15 will be following for its international debut.
Oppo Is Going To Be Bringing The Oppo Find X8 Pro To International Markets
There are a lot of devices that have launched this year (last month to be honest), that have had my mouth watering. Chinese OEMs almost seem to have accepted that their flagships this year need to come equipped with IP69 certification and batteries that are a lot larger than they were in their predecessors (thanks to the development of silicon-based batteries).
Oppo definitely got the memo. There was no Find X7 Pro, but there was a Find X7 Ultra, and even compared to that, the Oppo Find X8 Pro added 910mAh to the older device’s capacity. There’s no universe where that can’t be considered a substantial boost.
Fortunately, you’ll no longer need to fog up the glass as you stare at a phone that you simply can’t buy. If you live in Europe, Oppo has just confirmed that it is going to be launching its Oppo Find X8 Pro over there on November 21st. There’s no word on the Oppo Find X8 which is also available, so it seems that device simply won’t be going global—at least not in Europe.
No Word On The Find X8 Ultra or Mini’s Eventual Launch
Oppo still has two more devices tucked away for this year—the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and the Find X8 Mini. However, those are yet to be launched, even in China, so there’s absolutely no indication whether those devices will eventually make it to the global scene. If any, I’d expect the Find X8 Ultra, though its predecessor didn’t make it global.
ColorOS 15 Will Also Be Launched Internationally On November 21st
If you already have an Oppo device and you’re not ready to buy a new one anytime soon, there’s still something for you. Oppo is going to be launching its Android-15-based ColorOS 15 alongside the new device.
That should mean that if you have an Oppo device, the launch day will let you know if your device is going to be eligible for this update or not.
As you should expect, the new OS is going to put a big focus on AI, hopefully in a way that actually sets it apart from what we have at the moment. It’s going to have some design changes, such as separating the notification and control center shades, and it also seems like smoothness and speed are major priorities.
