Apple TV+ has reportedly signed Joel Kim Booster to star in an unannounced comedy series. Maya Rudolph will be part of the cast while also serving as executive producer.
According to a Variety report, the show will follow Molly, a woman whose life is turned upside down when her husband “leaves her with nothing but 87 billion dollars.” Booster will play Nicholas, Molly’s assistant.
While the series is yet to get a proper name, its working title is Loot, Variety goes on to say.
Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard created the Apple series, which has the working title “Loot,” and will serve as executive producers. Rudolph will executive produce in addition to starring under her Animal Pictures banner. Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Renfrew Behrens of Animal Pictures will also executive produce, as will Dave Becky of 3 Arts. Universal Television is the studio. Both Yang and Hubbard are under overall deals at UTV.
There is no timescale for when Loot will be available for us to watch but you’ll need an Apple TV+ or Apple One subscription when it does debut. Both are great options as Apple TV+ continues to gain new shows, movies, and documentaries. The Apple One route is the way to go if you use multiple Apple services like Apple Music and Apple Fitness +, though.
