The Laptop or Mobile Chipset Dilemma
On the specs front, Samsung is very likely considering either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or the Snapdragon X Elite as the processor. Based on expected release schedules, the latter is more likely, as Qualcomm’s latest laptop-grade chipset would put the Tab S10 Ultra in direct competition with Apple’s M4-powered iPad Pro. That being said, if efficiency might be the bigger concern, Samsung could instead favor the mobile-focused Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is just as competitive in terms of modern performance levels.
Memory and storage options are anticipated to mirror those of the Tab S9 Ultra, with configurations of 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage variants of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. There might even be a 2TB option, perhaps to push it even closer to laptop territory, or at least nudge it further from inevitable Tab S9 Ultra comparisons.
Power management bonuses and brightness improvements are also expected, plus maybe a few additional software optimizations to maximize battery life.
See You (Officially) Next Year
Unfortunately, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will not show up at Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event this July. The reveal lineup is already pretty packed, with the debut of Fold and Flip 6, Watch 7, plus Galaxy Ring info updates. Besides, it is more likely to appear sometime during early 2025. Galaxy Tab S Ultra series units are more of a bread-and-butter showcase product during January, usually unveiled alongside the next Galaxy S series smartphones.
In any case, these kinds of early renders always paint a picture of a device that builds upon the strengths of its predecessor while potentially offering subtle refinements. Whatever the actual Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra might turn out to be, this early reference should not be too far off.
