Learn How To Pair Your Apple Watch To Your iPhone

How to pair Apple Watch to your new iPhone?

No other smartwatch on the market compares to what Apple Watch has to offer. However, you need to link it with an iPhone to enjoy its extensive feature set.

You can read texts, reject calls, and keep an eye on your health, all with the Apple Watch. However, to use many of the most useful features of a new iPhone, you’ll need to sync your Watch with it.

Step-by-Step Process to Connect Apple Watch to iPhone

  • Below the digital crown, you can find a button. Press and hold it till you see the Apple logo on your Watch.
  • Now, bring your Watch and iPhone close.
  • You will see a pop-up menu on your iPhone. Click on it to continue.
  • Choose the option ‘Set Up For Myself’ if you want to set it for personal use. Or, if you are pairing the Watch for a family member, select ‘Set Up For A Family Member.’
  • Your Watch should be in the Frame and ready to pair.

After pairing is complete, follow the on-screen steps to finish the setup and provide the required permissions.

  • You’ll be asked to activate Apple Pay by adding a card. Then we’ll guide you through the process of configuring features like automatic watchOS upgrades, SOS, and Activity. Cellular may also be enabled on Apple Watch cellular variants.
  • Finally, you can install Apple Watch-compatible applications or opt to install apps individually afterward.
  • The amount of time it takes to sync will depend on how much data you have.
  • When you hear a sound and feel your Watch tap you, keep your devices close together and touch the Digital Crown.

If you are pairing it on your new iPhone, you first have to unpair it from your old iPhone.

  • On your iPhone, launch the Watch app.
  • In the top-left corner, tap All Watches after selecting the My Watch option.
  • Next to the Watch you are unpairing, tap the information icon.
  • Press Apple Watch Unpair, then tap it again to confirm.

Try manually attaching your Watch if this procedure doesn’t work.

Manually Pairing Apple Watch to iPhone

  • Hold down the side button (as done in the automatic pairing) on your Watch until the Apple logo appears.
  • Then, on your iPhone, launch the Watch app.
  • Click on start pairing.
  • You can see the option pair manually. Tap on it.
  • You can see an ‘i’ icon button on your Apple Watch. Tap on the button to view the name. Select the same name on your iPhone.
  • You will get a six-digit code on your Watch.
  • Type the same code in your iPhone for pairing.

After pairing, follow the on-screen steps to finish the setup and provide the appropriate permissions.

Pairing More Than One Apple Watch to Your iPhone

You can also pair more than one Watch with your iPhone. You cannot, however, link an Apple Watch with numerous iPhones. Furthermore, once connected, only one Apple Watch will work with an iPhone because watchOS does not enable wearing several Apple Watches at the same time. It’s also worth noting that two or more people cannot share an Apple Watch.

  • On your iPhone, launch the Watch app.
  • Select the My Watch option.
  • At the upper left, choose All Watches.
  • Now, choose Add Watch.
  • Depending on your requirements, choose ‘Set Up for Myself’ or ‘Set Up for a Family Member.’

That’s all. You can now follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
