Legal Tech’s Milestones for E-Discovery in 2022


To say that 2022 was an eventful year in e-discovery would be an understatement. Normally confined to the eyes of professionals in the legal industry, e-discovery vaulted into the spotlight and dominated headlines thanks to incidents like the Alex Jones cell phone debacle and the inadvertent Dropbox disclosure in the Jan. 6 investigation.

At the same time, e-discovery professionals have struggled to master new data types created by increasingly popular tools like SlackSignal and more. And they’re still dealing with unique preservation issues stemming from yet another year of significant workforce changes. The challenges they faced over the past 12 months will likely continue in 2023, and may even become more pronounced.
