Lenovo has announced a new Lenovo Legion 9i gaming laptop with an interesting option for a glasses-free 3D display.
The model, which is designed for gamers as well as game developers, has an 18-inch Puresight Display that offers 4K resolution for 2D images and 2K support for 3D.

In a press release, Lenovo says it uses a “a combination of eye-tracking and lenticular lens array” to create the 3D effect. The Chinese firm says the 3D Studio software will ensure 2D and 3D images can be stacked or shown side-by-side without needing to switch modes.
Refresh rates are off the charts too, reaching 440Hz in FHD and 240Hz when the resolution reaches 4K. The dual mode offers easy switching between the two. There are 30 games supporting the tech already, Lenovo says, along with a myriad of content creation apps.
Indeed, Lenovo says it’ll be great for “designers who regularly work in 3D modelling to seamlessly realize their work in three dimensions without the need for a headset or separate 3D-capable display.”
Beyond the display, it’s a also an absolute powerhouse. There’s a Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and it supports up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 GPU. And because there are four slots for RAM and four slots for SSDs (including one PCIe Gen 5 slot) this laptop can support up to 192GB of dual channel DDR5 RAM and 8TB of SSD storage.
Given these mighty specs, the price is mighty to match. The starting price is 4499 Euros, which is around £3810. It’s going on sale in June.
