The hybrid MWC 2021 is underway and first off the blocks with a bunch of product launches is Lenovo with the official unveiling of the recently leaked Smart Clock 2, and a number of new Yoga tablets running Android. There’s a lot to cover so join us after the break for all the details.
Smart Clock 2
With an aesthetic that wouldn’t look out of place in Google’s Nest Display line-up, the Smart Clock 2 can now be outfitted with a wireless charger for your phone. Whilst retaining the 4-inch touch display, the Smart Clock 2 is a little larger in size which means there is space for two 3W speakers this time around with the volume buttons on the top of the device. Designed for the bedroom, the Smart Clock 2 doesn’t have a built-in camera and the microphones can be manually disabled via the physical slider on the rear of the device.
As for the wireless charging dock that adds 5W/7.5W/10W Qi wireless charging, the Smart Clock 2 sits on it and is connected via POGO pins. The Smart Clock 2 will go on sale during September starting from $89, with the wireless charging dock an optional extra.
