Logitech announced a new all-in-one docking station that also acts as an enterprise-grade speaker. The Logi Dock can connect to up to five USB devices and two monitors at the same time. It can also charge a laptop with up to 100W of power. The Logi Dock integrates with calendars and is built to work with Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom.
“This is a disruptive, simple, and modern docking solution along with key collaboration features like one-touch-to-join and better mute control, said Scott Wharton, general manager and vice president of Logitech Video Collaboration. “And not insignificantly, it turns our cluttered ‘rats nest’ of cabling into the elegant workspace we all aspire to have.”
The Logi Dock has two USB-A 3.0 ports, two USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a DisplayPort, an HDMI port, USB-C upstream, and a Kensington lock slot on the back of the device. There’s also an additional USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port on the side of the docking station.
Using the Logi Tune app, people can customize the experience of the Logi Dock, including setting up lighting cues to let people know a meeting is about to start. Logi Tune’s calendar feature will be available later this month. The docking station features buttons to control meetings, including joining, muting, turning the camera on or off, and ending calls.
The Logi Dock features noise cancelation for speakerphone and can switch to a Zone Wireless headset or Zone True Wireless earbuds automatically. When you’re not using the Logi Dock for meetings, it can also act as a speaker for your PC or any device that connects through Bluetooth.
The Logi Dock will be available in winter 2021 for $399. It will be available in either Graphite or White, though Logitech notes that Graphic is only for Microsoft Teams.
