Looks like the OnePlus 9T series will consist of a single model

Much like it did with the OnePlus 8T series in 2020, OnePlus is reportedly not going to produce a Pro version of the OnePlus 9T that is expected to launch sometime in Q3. Instead, the OnePlus 9T will apparently consist of the regular model only that could get an upgrade to one of Samsung’s LTPO displays with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The report comes via China’s Weibo social network which was then amplified by TechDroider on Twitter. Despite the alleged upgrade to a 120Hz refresh rate it seems that the OnePlus 9T’s LTPO display will have FHD+ resolution. It may also be the case that the OnePlus 9T will feature curved edges, which is alluded to by the inclusion of the word ‘Flexible’ in the display model details.

While fans of the Pro model will be disappointed that the 9T series will consist of a single variant, it kinda makes sense when you consider that OnePlus is producing more phone models than ever before as it continues to target the affordable mid-range segment with its Nord offerings.
