macOS Sequoia 15.4 RC now available, here’s what to expect

Apple has just released new RC (release candidate) betas for its forthcoming software releases, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 is now available as part of this latest batch of updates—both developer and public beta RCs are available.

Apple’s latest Mac update is almost ready for public launch

macOS Sequoia 15.4 introduces a variety of new features for the Mac, with the biggest highlight being a big upgrade to Apple Mail.

There are a variety of other additions too, such as new emoji, the ability to use Macs for Quick Start when setting up new devices, an expansion of Apple Intelligence languages, and more.

All of those features have been included in prior macOS 15.4 betas.

For today’s beta, however, don’t be surprised if Apple has no new features in store.

That’s because this RC brings us especially close to the public launch of macOS 15.4.

Apple’s expected to ship this update and its companions—like iOS 18.4—very soon. The official stated target is early next month, which could be as soon as next week.

Since we’re so close to public launch, this beta is expected to focus on bug fixes, performance improvements, and stability.

In other words, your Mac should run smoother than before with the macOS 15.4 RC, but it likely won’t be noticeably different in any other way.

That said, if we do find anything new in today’s update we’ll keep you posted.
