Microsoft announced a partnership with Shopify to integrate the service with Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Bing. The Shopping tab within the Bing search engine will now show Shopify listings from more than 1.7 million retailers. Shopify will also integrate with the relatively new service Microsoft Start.

“Using the Shopping tab on Microsoft Bing, and Microsoft Edge, you will now see more diverse products, better prices, and improved discovery of deals,” explains Microsoft in its blog post. “You will also be able to simply check out via the Shopping tab on Microsoft Bing quickly and securely.”

The partnership should also make it easier for sellers to widen their reach. Through the improved Microsoft Channel app, merchants can connect with Microsoft’s network. Products will then automatically show up in the Shopping tab on Bing and Microsoft Start as product listings. Retailers can also create ad campaigns and view marketing performance through real-time reports in their Shopify store.

Microsoft explains that the new integration with Shopify is “just the beginning of some great new shopping enhancements we will be rolling out to provide thoughtful, convenient, and more secure experiences for shoppers.” Microsoft usually rolls out some shopping features ahead of Black Friday and the holiday season to help people save money. Our guide on how to use Edge to save time and money on Black Friday includes several of these features.
