Apple TV+ is bringing Major League Baseball’s Friday Night Baseball back for a fourth season, with weekly doubleheaders returning from March 28.
“Friday Night Baseball” is the season-long series of double-header games, pairing up two matches that stream on Apple TV+. Taking place from March 28 and running through the regular season, “Friday Night Baseball” will air in 60 countries, with games taking place over 25 weeks.
The first pairing will see the Baltimore Orioles take on the Toronto Blue Jays, followed by the New York Mets against the Houston Astros. Other notable matchups in the first half of the season include a Yankees-Dodgers World Series rematch, and the Rangers versus Astros.
The broadcast teams include Wayne Randazzo, Dontrelle Willis, Heidi Watney, Alex Faust, Ryan Spilborghs, and Tricia Whitaker. Live pre- and post-game coverage will be handled by Lauren Gardner, Russell Dorsey, and Xavier Scruggs.
The games will be produced by MLB’s Emmy Award-winning production team working with Apple’s live sports team, with state-of-the-art cameras capturing the action. Immersive sound will be recorded in 5.1 with Spatial Audio, with player and field-level mics to immerse viewers in the stadium atmosphere.
Fans in the U.S. and Canada can also listen to home and away radio broadcasts during games.
As well as the Friday Night Baseball games, U.S. fans can also enjoy the “MLB Big Inning” whip-around show and other content on Apple TV+. Multi-view on Apple TV 4K and iPad will let fans watch up to four simultaneous streams, including FNB games, MLS soccer matches, and select live shows.
For the 2025 season, there will also be “Fight For Glory: 2024 World Series,” an all-access docuseries on Apple TV+ exploring the high-stakes world of the World Series. A three-part documentary, it will cover each team’s journey through the postseason, complete with exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage and interviews with players, coaches, and journalists.
The Apple Sports app will be providing updates on scores, standings, and other stats during the MLB season. Meanwhile Apple News users will get to view the MLB feed with personalized highlights, and Apple Music subscribers can find official playlists.
The Apple Vision Pro is also getting content, in the form of “VIP: Yankee Stadium.” An Apple Immersive Video, it provides an all-access pass to the iconic sporting venue, including early morning prep scenes to a tense nighttime finale.
