Mobile Apps in US Military Are Under Review by Pentagon Watchdog
The Pentagon’s inspector general said he will issue an advisory to senior Defense Department managers “on the use of mobile applications,” a response to questions about texts that may have been deleted by departing defense officials concerning the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol.
Acting Inspector General Sean O’Donnell commented in a brief letter to Senate Judiciary Chairman Dick Durbin. The Illinois Democrat called in August for an investigation into reports that texts from departing Trump administration defense officials were deleted.
