Motorola celebrates Moto G’s tenth anniversary with savings of up to $100

When you think of affordable smartphones that pack a punch, Motorola’s Moto G series has almost certainly made its way into the reckoning at one time or another. With the original Moto G having launched back in 2013, Motorola is now celebrating both the tenth anniversary of the series and the sale of over 200 millions units over the period by discounting a number of its latest Moto G handsets.

The image above shows how the Moto G series has evolved over the past decade with each new iteration offering something new to the consumer, and while there may have been a couple of lemons along the way as well as the weird decision to omit NFC connectivity in some models sold in the US, it seems that Motorola has returned to form in 2023.

The celebratory deals include savings of up to $100 and are available directly on Motorola.com:

As for the journey of the debut Moto G which boasted a quad-core processor, 1GB of memory, and a fun design with replaceable covers, there has been a world of change in the ten years up to this year’s Moto G 5G 2023. This year’s Moto G84 5G steps things up a notch with its premium vegan leather finish, a 6.5-inch OLED display, and OIS and Ultra Pixel technology present in its camera setup.

Next year will bring the 11th edition of the Moto G family of affordable smartphones and we can’t wait to find out how many premium features will trickle down to the range.
