Having launched the Moto Edge X30 in China towards the tail-end of 2021, it seems that the global launch of Motorola’s new flagship smartphone is scheduled for February 24th. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered phone may launch under a slightly different name when it’s announced a few days before the start of MWC 2022.

It’s thought that the phone will be known as the Moto Edge 30 Pro in the west but that is likely to be the only real difference between it and the Chinese Edge X30. It should feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a slick 144Hz refresh rate with a trio of rear cameras consisting of a pair of 50MP sensors and a 2MP camera. Its 5,000mAh battery will support 68W fast charging which should achieve a full charge in under 30 minutes, and you can probably expect up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

We’ll find out the pricing and availability details during the February 24th launch event, although you can probably count on the Moto Edge 30 Pro costing somewhere around the $1,000 mark.
