Motorola is already planning on launching a third-generation foldable in the form of the Razr 3 and the affordable Moto G Stylus 2022 this year but we have a report saying that we can expect an actual flagship smartphone as well. Allegedly sporting a mammoth 200MP main camera and 125W fast-charging, the “Frontier” as it’s being called internally could be a beast of a smartphone.

The report comes via TechnikNews and says that Motorola’s next-gen flagship will be a worthwhile competitor to the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series and the OPPO Find X5 Pro.

Reportedly using Samsung’s 200MP camera sensor, Motorola’s “Frontier” smartphone will also sport a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP telephoto camera. The selfie camera could also feature the same 60MP sensor as seen on the Edge X30.

This flagship Motorola phone could also feature 125W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and have an unannounced successor to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset providing the grunt, the Snapdragon SM8475. The alleged presence of the Snapdragon SM8475 chipset would point to the launch of the “Frontier” is months rather than weeks away.

He currently carries a Realme GT Neo 2 in his pockets, a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
