Motorola Unveils Business-Focused ThinkPhone 25 And Moto G75

Back in 2014, Lenovo bought Motorola, and since then, it’s hard to say that Motorola isn’t doing better than it was before. Motorola targets every single tier of consumers, from budget buyers to flagship fans. Heck, they even go after the business segment, which is something that most others don’t.

That’s even why we’re here today. Motorola has just shown off the brand-new ThinkPhone 25, which is the way to go if you’re looking for a smartphone that ticks all the right boxes for you as a business person. Alongside it, they showed off the Moto G75. Let’s talk about both of these.

The Motorola ThinkPhone 25 Is A Device Built From The Ground Up For Business Needs

Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptops are pretty much the quintessential business laptop and with Motorola under its command, the company decided to extend that service to business owners looking for the perfect smartphone. Following the vanilla ThinkPhone, this year’s iteration is the Motorola ThinkPhone 25 and it does its job pretty damn well.

The Specifications

First off, let’s talk about the spec sheet. As a business person, you need a reliable device but you certainly don’t need all the power in the world. That’s why Motorola chose the mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 7300. That comes paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. All of that presents a package good enough for basic needs.

On the front side is a 6.36-inch HD+ pOLED display. On the front, the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, and on the back, it’s an aramid fiber back panel. And speaking of protection, you get IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certifications so you can feel a bit more secure if your device gets into an accident.

The device packs a 4,310 mAh battery, which is a little small by modern standards, but with 68W fast charging—charger included in the box—and 15W wireless charging, it’s easier to let that slide. There’s a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 10MP 3x telephoto. The selfie shooter is a 32MP unit.

The Business Side Of Things

What makes the ThinkPhone 25 different from any other Android smartphone are the business-oriented features that come integrated. Similar to ThinkPad laptops, if you need one of these, you’re likely very concerned about security. The first thing you should know is that you get five years of major Android OS updates and “Security Maintenance Releases”, so that’ll keep you safe up to 2029.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a “Think-” device if it didn’t bring ThinkShield along, which keeps you extra protected with hardware and AI-based security features to keep cyberattacks far away from you. You also get other perks like Moto Secure, Malware Detection, Wi-Fi Security, Phishing Detection, and many other features.

Smart Connect is extremely useful for business since it allows you to navigate between your ThinkPhone 25, tablet, and Windows PC seamlessly. Yep, using the same mouse and keyboard, you can dance between your different devices without worry, copying media and text, sharing a hotspot or notifications, and even using the ThinkPhone 25 as a webcam.

Plus, you can also get the ThinkPhone 25 through a “business edition support package” that will give you a three-year warranty, a bloat-free OS, a CO2 offset certification, and a lot more.

Motorola Also Shows Off Its Moto G75 Business Edition Smartphone

But what if you have business needs but want a more powerful device? That’s where the Moto G75 5G Business Edition comes in. You get the same military-standard durability and weather resistance, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with 256GB of expandable storage, five years of OS updates, and six years of security updates.

The display is a 6.78-inch FHD+ unit and behind that is a 5,000 mAh cell. You also get the same great business-focused features like Smart Connect and ThinkShield.

The Pricing And Availability For Motorola’s New Business Phones

Motorola’s new ThinkPhone 25 and Moto G75 Business Edition will both be available across certain markets in Europe and the Middle East. However, Motorola is keeping the price under wraps, instead, asking interested customers to contact its local sales team.
