The rumors and leaks were true. WB Games announced MultiVersus on Thursday, a free-to-play fighting game. MultiVersus is taking obvious inspiration from Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. franchise, with a roster of Warner Bros. characters lik Arya Stark, Batman, Bugs Bunny, Wonder Woman and more. The developers want everyone playing together with their friends, with full cross-play support and dedicated netcode rollback.MultiVersus is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and PS4.
While there’s no exact release date, MultiVersus is currently slated to launch at some point in 2022, with the developers promising regular updates. Several other titles from WB Games are scheduled to arrive in 2022, with WB Montreal’s Gotham Knights, Rocksteady Games’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Avalanche Software’s Hogwarts Legacy all on the way.

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another Windows 11 preview build for Insiders in the Dev Channel to get their hands-on.
