The premiere season of Home Before Dark pleased critics and audiences alike, and Apple TV+ revealed on Friday that season two will play on the streaming service in summer 2021.
The show follows Hilde Lisko, who doesn’t let being a child stand in the way of being an investigative journalist.
Apple released the first images from the upcoming season on Friday. It also announced that Home Before Dark season two will reach viewers worldwide on Friday, June 11.
Solve another mystery in Home Before Dark season two
The dramatic mystery series is inspired by the reporting of Hilde Lysiak, who solved a murder when she was 9 years old.
In Home Before Dark season two, a mysterious explosion hits a local farm, and Hilde Lisko begins an investigation that will lead her to fight a powerful and influential corporation — with the health of her family and Erie Harbor in the balance.
Brooklynn Prince will return to star as Hilde. The Cult of Mac review of the first season calls her “one of the more charismatic child stars we have. Putting her front and center in her own show was a brilliant idea.”

Others were also positive about the first season. RottenTomatoes compiled an 80% critics score on the show. And audiences gave it an 87%.
All of season one is available to stream on Apple TV+ now. The Home Before Dark season two will premiere June 11. This will be followed by a new one-hour installment each week, every Friday. There are 10 in total.
