It’s that time of the year again. The minute Thanksgiving is over, the Christmas tree and lights start going up. Throughout the year, Google releases new Nest doorbell tones that are fun and festive, and for the 2022 holiday, we’re getting five new Nest doorbell ringtones.
More importantly, similar to last year, these ringtones are free and will even play over your smart speakers or Nest hubs. All those fun Halloween sounds are going away and turning into good holiday vibes.
According to 9to5Google, five new holiday Nest ringtones are available as of December 1st. Google will add even more in January for New Year and the Lunar New Year, bringing the total to 15. You can expect fun sounds like Oh Hanukkah, 12 Days of Christmas, Deck the Halls, and classics like Jingle Bells or Joy to the World.
Several of these tones are the same ones we received last holiday season, so Nest owners probably already know what to expect. If not, the video above (from last year) gives you an idea of what’s coming.
Better yet, it sounds like Google’s holiday doorbell ringtones will be available for all Nest Doorbell models, not just specific wired options. This includes the Nest Doorbell battery, the older Nest Hello, and the Nest wired video doorbell (Gen 2), to name a few.
So, check the app and change those ringtones to get into the holiday spirit.
