New iPhone 13 Exclusive Reveals Stunning Apple Upgrade Decision

Despite serious ongoing iOS 15 problems, iPhone 13 models have been selling at record rates. But now a surprising upgrade to Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro Max might just change which new iPhone you want to buy.

If you check Apple’s official iPhone 13 comparison page under ‘Power and Battery’ you will find that the company claims all the iPhones have similar battery charging capabilities. However, extensive tests by specialists ChargerLab have discovered that the iPhone 13 Pro Max delivers speeds up to 35% faster than the iPhone 13.

While Apple recommends connecting all iPhone 13 models to their official 20W charger, ChargerLab discovered that the iPhone 13 Pro Max will reach speeds of up to 27W when using a 30W or higher charger. ChargerLab also told MacRumors that the iPhone 13 Pro will charge at up to 23W with a 30W charger — circa 15% faster than advertised — though it is the Pro Max which really leaves the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini behind.

Moreover, the news gives potential iPhone 13 upgraders two buying decisions. First, whether this discovery pushes you towards the iPhone 13 Pro Max and, given Apple no longer supplies a charger in the box, whether you should buy a 20W or 30W charger to use with it.

ChargerLab does warn that the iPhone 13 Pro Max cannot maintain 27W throughout the whole charging process due to heat considerations. That said, like most smartphones, the fastest charging takes place early on in the charge cycle which is when owners with low battery life are likely to benefit most.

Needless to say, this discovery may not be enough to tempt iPhone fans already concerned about the instability of iOS 15 or tempted to wait following the leaked iPhone 14’s “complete redesign”. But for anyone still wavering on whether to upgrade, this may just help you make up your mind.
