Nomad makes some of our favorite Apple accessories across charging solutions, Apple Watch bands, and more. Today, the company has released a new version of one of its most convenient charging accessories: the ChargeKey.
Nomad’s ChargeKey accessory is a tiny USB-C to USB-C cable designed to attach directly to your keychain. The idea is that with it attached to your keys, you’ll never find yourself in a pinch without a quick way to connect your iPhone to power or data transfer.
The new ChargeKey offers several key improvements compared to the version that launched in 2023. Most notably, you can expect significantly faster charging speed paired with proper support for data transfer:
- USB-C to USB-C connection
- 240W charging speeds for your iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, Android, and more
- 10Gbps data transfer speeds (USB 3.1)
- Braided nylon cable
- Electroplated zinc cable housings
- Cable tips secure magnetically
One particularly fun use case for this accessory: charging your AirPods while on the go from your iPhone’s power. The fast data transfer speeds are also great for recording camera footage directly to an external drive.
The new ChargeKey is available from Nomad’s website for $25, a $10 price cut compared to the previous-generation model.
