Northbound 35E to close in Apple Valley, Mendota Heights


Starting Friday, Sept. 9, all northbound lanes of I-35E will close from Cedar Ave. to I-494.

The closure that spans from Apple Valley to Mendota Heights, will begin at 9 p.m. and last through Monday, Sept. 12 at 5 a.m.

Several ramps to northbound I-35E will also close starting at 8 pm on Friday, they include:

  • Highway 77/Cedar Ave
  • Cliff Road
  • Diffley Road
  • Pilot Knob Road
  • Lone Oak Road

The closure is due to crews painting the Highway 55 bridge over the roadway, it’s a part of the Highway 55 Minneapolis to Inver Grove Heights Project. For more information on the project CLICK HERE.

A signed detour will be in place using northbound Cedar Ave., eastbound I-494 and southbound I-35E. You could also use Highway 13 or I-35E as an alternate route.
