Oak Glen Apple Blossom Festival has much to celebrate – Redlands Daily Facts
Pale-hued blossoms are once again unfurling from rose-colored buds in gnarled old apple trees across Oak Glen, and the community is celebrating with a free festival this weekend.
At Los Rios Rancho, where a store, bakery and packing house burned in an unrelated fire in October, festivities included live music, lawn games and carriage rides. Los Rios is Southern California’s largest apple farm, with more than 10,000 trees, according to its Facebook page, and has been in operation since 1906.
“Join us for a springtime celebration in the country,” a Los Rios post reads.
Businesses are participating all along the town’s 5-mile scenic loop. Other locations are offering flower crown making, a corn hole competition, steer roping, a bubble gum blowing competition, a treasure hunt and more.
