One of the lightest 14-inch Ultrabooks is now down to its lowest price ever for Black Friday

Storage and memory giant ADATA only recently got into the PC market with its XPG laptop series, and while it can be less tempting to trust a new or lesser-known brand, I was pleasantly surprised when I reviewed the XPG Xenia 14 earlier this year. It was good enough to receive a near-perfect score and a Windows Central Recommended Award.

The main attraction here is that the Xenia 14 weighs less than even LG’s excellent gram laptop, coming in at 2.14 pounds (970g). It also measures just 0.59 inches (15mm) thin, making this an ideal PC for anyone who prefers to remain mobile. The magnesium alloy chassis won’t feel quite as sturdy as something with a full aluminum body, but it’s still built well and is essentially without design flaws.

There are two XPG Xenia 14 models on sale. The first one, with 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU, 16GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM, and 512GB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD, is $150 off, taking the total price down to $950 at Amazon. That’s the cheapest price the laptop has seen so far. The Core i7-1165G7 model with 32GB of RAM and 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD is discounted by $100, bringing the total down to $1,299 at Amazon.

This is one of the best Black Friday laptops deals out there right now, and it’s easy to recommend to anyone who needs a new 14-inch device.

    Xpg Xenia 14

    XPG Xenia 14 (Core i7) | $100 off

This higher end version of the Xenia 14 has an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a 14-inch 1200p display with 16:10 aspect ratio. This is one of the thinnest and lightest Ultrabooks you’ll find today.

    $1,299 at Amazon

Not only is the Xenia 14 one of the thinnest and lightest laptops available today, it offers excellent performance and a ton of extra features. ADATA has one of its own PCIe 4.0 SSDs in there for incredibly fast transfer speeds, and the 11th Gen chips will tear through productivity work with ease. I got between eight and ten hours of life on a single battery charge, and that was with the more powerful Core i7 model.

The 14-inch display has a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, slim bezel on all sides, and excellent color reproduction. The keyboard is comfortable, the Precision touchpad is enormous, and Thunderbolt 4 is joined by plenty of other ports for easy connectivity. An IR camera is included for fast and secure logins through Windows Hello.
