OnePlus Buds 3 Pro Are Official With 43-hour Playback

Today, August 20, 2024, OnePlus launched its latest wireless earbuds via a virtual event in India. The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 promises their most advanced audio experience to date. The new earbuds are priced at £199 (roughly $259), and are now available for purchase.

The Buds each have dual Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) and are tuned by the audio pros at Dynaudio. Dynaudio is a high-end Danish audio company known for producing premium loudspeakers and audio equipment, so your ears are in safe hands regarding sound quality.

Block the noise, feel the bass, and power through your day

OnePlus has added Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) to the newly released Buds Pro 3 to automatically adjust to your surroundings, cutting out up to 50dB of noise. It’s quite impressive, considering a normal conversation is around 60 decibels. Street noise is usually around 70 decibels. Now, you can successfully ignore people and minimize the cacophony of noise as you take a walk.

The Buds Pro 3 can also last up to 43 hours with the charging case, and if you’re in a hurry, a quick 10-minute charge gives you more than 5 hours of playtime. There are two different drivers — an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter — to handle different aspects of sound from the low to high frequencies.

The 11mm woofer, with its dual magnets, delivers strong, deep bass that’s perfect for bass-heavy genres, including electronic and hip-hop. Thanks to its ceramic-metal composite diaphragm, the woofer responds quickly and accurately, giving you clean, tight bass without sacrificing depth.

Meanwhile, the 6mm tweeter has an upgraded diaphragm that makes high frequencies clearer and more detailed, so vocals and instruments come through with greater precision. Plus, the tiny 35-micrometer flat voice coil handles quick shifts in high frequencies smoothly, cutting down on distortion and giving you a more natural, clean treble.

OnePlus Buds 3 brings a fresh design and effortless control

OnePlus has redesigned the charging case for the Buds Pro 3, and it catches the eye with its modern, stylish look. It features a two-tone color scheme that compliments the earbuds with a leather-like finish. You can get it in Midnight Opus and Lunar Radiance colors. This fresh design feels more sophisticated and refined than the previous models in Soft Jade and Starry Black.

However, the Buds’ controls are the same as those of the Buds 3 model. You can slide up and down to change the volume on each bud, pinch to control your music, or pinch and hold to quickly switch between noise-canceling and transparency.

Additionally, the earbuds support Google Spatial Audio, which creates a three-dimensional sound experience and makes it feel like the audio surrounds you. It works widely with a range of devices, not just phones. The Buds Pro 3 uses Bluetooth 5.4 for faster and more stable connections.
