Philips Hue’s New Outdoor Smart Lights Are Just Plain Magical – Review Geek

    The Philips Hue Calla light.

It’s time to add some brains to your outdoor lighting. Philips Hue just announced four new outdoor smart lighting products, including some colorful pathway lights and retro-styled smart lanterns.

Our favorite product in the new lineup is Philips Hue’s Calla pathway light. The 10-inch tall stainless steel bollards shine both white and color light to add a soft ambiance to your path, front yard, or garden. (They require a Philips Hue power supply, though.)

Of course, we’re also excited about the Philips Hue Lucca and Resonate wall lights, which have minimalist designs and shine white or colored light. The Lucca has a sleek, rounded design, while the Resonate is rectangular and accents your wall with upward and downward-shining light.

And for those who want a bit of retro flavor, there’s always the new Philips Hue Inara wall light. It features a Philips Hue Filament bulb in a retro lantern-style lamp. Unfortunately, the Inara only shines white light.

Like all Philips Hue products, these new smart lights support scheduling features, dimming, and other controls through your smart assistant or the Philips Hue app. The Inara and Lucca wall light launch March 1st in the U.S. for $100 each, while the Resonate light launches on March 1st for $160. Unfortunately, my favorite new Philips Hue outdoor light, the Calla, will launch February 8th as a Europe exclusive.
