- A certification authority just posted images of a product likely to be called a Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag.
- We assume that this is a Tile-like tracker designed to help you keep track of things you own.
- It’s very possible this tracker product could launch alongside the Galaxy S21 series in mid-January.
It appears that there could be a brand new product coming in January when Samsung launches the Galaxy S21 series. Thanks to some sleuthing by 91Mobiles, we now have images of an unreleased Samsung product that looks a lot like a Tile tracker.

The info we have so far suggests this new device could be known as a Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag. Like a Tile tracker, it would probably allow you to keep tabs on your possessions. You would simply attach the tracker to something you own and then use your phone to find it wherever it might be.
Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag: Beating Apple to the punch?
There have long been rumors that Apple would launch a Tile clone. However, 2020 came and went with no announcement from the company. If the rumors are true and Samsung launches this new device this month, it would beat Apple to the punch.
Additionally, rumors suggest Samsung could offer something pretty cool with this new device. According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag could feature a replaceable battery. This would be really cool (and environmentally friendly) as most trackers like this you need to throw away when the battery is kaput.
We don’t know any pricing or availability info yet on this tracker. 91Mobiles suggests it could cost Rs. 1,300 (~$18), which seems like a reasonable price.
