Polestar’s Latest EV Is a Cargo Sled for Inner-City Deliveries – Review Geek

Polestar debuted an electric sled with three wheels designed to offer inner-city cargo hauling earlier this year, but it was only a concept. However, the electric vehicle manufacturer is back and just announced the all-new Polestar Re:Move, a working prototype of its electric cargo sled.

We’re not entirely sure what the overall plan is or when the company plans to manufacturer the cargo sled, but it looks like the main idea is to use it for deliveries.

The Polestar Re:Move only goes about 15MPH thanks to a 2.2kWh battery, but it can haul upwards of 400 lbs. The initial concept suggested 600 lbs, but its current limit is still plenty when doing quick deliveries of Amazon packages and other online orders. In fact, Polestar is claiming this EV cargo hauler could be an affordable alternative to delivery fans.

Polestar’s latest EV is small enough to fit in a bike lane, too, allowing drivers to bypass traffic in congested cities such as New York City or LA. It’s roughly 29-inches wide, has a flat surface to stack packages on, and again, can haul a pretty big load.

As for safety measures, the company outfitted the Re:Move with always-on lighting, fully functional brake and taillights, a horn, and there’s even an optional model with turn signal indicators for regular road use.

Currently, there’s no pricing, availability, or release date details, but we can expect to hear more shortly. Plus, the company will need to compete with Nuro’s autonomous delivery vehicles. Would you buy one for deliveries?
