[Poll] This is how our readers watch TV shows and movies

Last week we asked how our readers watched movies and TV shows. There are tons of options these days, like streaming services, buying movies both physical and digital, and sticking to the tried-and-true cable and satellite boxes.

So how do our readers watch TV?

I don’t think the results are very surprising. A huge majority of users have moved onto streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, and that dominated our poll.

It made up just over half of all responses, leaving the remaining 50% split among the other three options. But what is a little shocking is that cable and satellite TV actually managed to tie the option for buying digital media. Purchasing physical media was the least popular option by about 5%. I would’ve guessed that cable would come in dead last, but it looks like it’s hanging on surprisingly well.

What do you think about these results?
