After an impromptu teaser back in August showing off the new design and revealing which regions would sell the Pixel 6 series, Google has been quiet on when the new phones would actually be available. It seems that there is disappointing news for those wishing for a September launch because it’s being reported that pre-orders for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro may only go live during October.
According to the often reliable leakster, Jon Prosser, the Pixel 6 series will be available to pre-order from October 19th with units available from physical stores from the 28th of that month. Last year’s Pixel 5 was announced during September but then 2020 was an even more unusual year than the current one, so it’s perhaps not a great point of reference.
There’s no telling if Google will hold the official launch in September with the month-long lead time until pre-orders go live, or if the actual announcement will also come during October. One thing we do know is that the Pixel 6 series will be sold in the following countries:
