How to Choose a Lenovo on Prime Day

Lenovo, much like Dell, has a truly massive collection of laptops and desktops to choose from, so it can definitely be overwhelming to figure out which one is best for your needs if you aren’t particularly tech-savvy. That said, there are some quick tips that you can keep in mind when you want to grab something off Lenovo. For example, regardless of whether you’re going for a Windows desktop or laptop, you’ll always want to aim for at least 8GB of RAM, which is mostly due to the fact that Windows likes to eat up quite a bit of it. If you’re looking for a gaming option, then you should be aiming for a minimum of 16GB, although that will also help with non-gaming uses. A similar rule applies for hard drives, where 1TB is the ideal starting point.

Of course, you can also take a look at some of our guides, such as this roundup of the best Lenovo laptops, and get going from there. Some great examples are Lenovo’s Legion 9i, which is an excellent gaming option, and Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16, which is a great laptop for creative folks.

How We Chose These Lenovo Prime Day Deals

Most of Lenovo’s stock is pretty excellent, which gives us tons of great products to parse through for our list of recommendations. That said, Lenovo does tend to have this issue where it over-values the MSRP on laptops to make deals look better, and that’s exceedingly the case with some ThinkPad options. Of course, other manufacturers do this, too, such as with some of the Dell Latitude options, but either way, we do our best to take into account the actual value of the specs compared to other laptops before adding a deal.

A lot of that is based on our own decades of experience as reviewers and deal hunters, as well as some tools that help us look at historical pricing to help us track down the best deals possible.
