What Users Love About the App

“My favorite is the audio mode. You can hear the math question and then say your answer into your iPhone. Great if you want to hear and talk your answers while you’re driving.”

“I am writing a review on this product because I feel this is an amazing application that every parent should have. I purchased MathBoard after researching math programs when it became available for the iPad. I was looking for a math application to help my kids so they would not forget what they learned in class during the long summer. This app has so much built-in and does so many wonderful things.”

“The details are fantastic my son noticed when you are using the problem-solving part of the program you can actually see chalk dust. I have had my kids do fifty problems every day during the summer and their math skills have improved and they enjoy doing it. Thank you to PalaSoftware for coming up with such a brilliant app.”

“I thought I was purchasing this for my 7-year-old to practice her multiplication and division. I soon found myself exercising my brain too with some double-digit multiplication in my head. It’s my morning brain coffee.”

“Really liked being able to set up problems for both my first grader and my fourth grader with exactly the level of addition or multiplication they were working on and adjust the number of problems in a set.”

What Users Dislike About the App

“The biggest problem we have though is that if anything happens on the iPad like a calendar reminder or message pops up – it cancels out the current session and counts all the remaining questions wrong. If the child inadvertently leaves the app, like kids do wiggling around with the iPad on their lap, it cancels out the current session and again counts the remainder wrong – this is very demotivating to the kids.”

“The fact you can’t type in the ranges but have to hold down a button like an old-fashioned digital alarm clock to set the number range is really strange. Let me type in 423 if that’s what I want to set instead of having to scroll there.”

“It needs some work with its technical strategies and the voice over can be annoying and I think it could be funnier for children if there were more fun games and activities but if MathBoard fixes those small things I think it could be a very fun game.”

“Can’t filing how to turn off the stupid voice. I’m an engineer brushing up on my mental math. I don’t want to hear this voice. Also, I can’t find anything in the settings.”

“When I try to contact the developer through their app, there’s a nonfunctional parental lock for roughing three circles. Not working. I’ve had this app since iPhone 5, and it was great then. Ever since the added features are just making it worse.”
