Raoul Pal: Bitcoin is Set for a Big Year
The crypto market is buzzing with optimism, and Raoul Pal, CEO of Real Vision, has shared bold forecasts for Bitcoin in 2025. Speaking on a podcast with James Connor of Blood Street Capital, Pal analyzed past trends and current market conditions, concluding that Bitcoin is heading for a strong year, supported by global liquidity and a maturing market.
Pal compares today’s market setup to 2017 after Trump’s election, when Bitcoin surged due to steady liquidity inflows. This time, he believes China could play a bigger role in boosting global liquidity. While Bitcoin saw wild price swings in 2021, Pal argues that the market has since evolved. With Bitcoin ETFs and a more stable investor base, extreme price crashes may be less likely.
Even if Bitcoin reaches $100,000, he expects only mild pullbacks, possibly dropping to $90,000 before rebounding.
Bitcoin at $500K? Three Possible Scenarios
Pal outlined three potential price targets for Bitcoin by the end of 2025:
- Worst-case scenario: Bitcoin reaches $200,000 – $250,000.
- Base-case scenario: Bitcoin climbs to $350,000.
- Bullish scenario: If the market sees a blow-off top like 2017, Bitcoin could surge past $500,000.
Pal’s optimism isn’t just about Bitcoin—he sees the entire crypto market gaining momentum this cycle.
Altcoins Join the Rally
Apart from Bitcoin, altcoins will also make some noise. Recently, Mike Novogratz, another crypto heavyweight, has changed his stance on altcoins like Cardano and XRP. He admits he was wrong to dismiss them and now sees them as a potential investment option. Solana, in particular, is shining with VanEck predicting it could hit $520 this year after an impressive performance.
Novogratz emphasizes that strong narratives drive enthusiasm in crypto, which in turn creates real value. Even projects he once doubted, like Cardano and XRP, have remained strong thanks to loyal communities and growing use cases.
