Rating Apple’s Most Helpful Accessories

Great for iPhones, iPads, and laptops, it’s fair to say that Apple is at the top of the game when it comes to all things technology – with an estimated 1.2 billion iPhone users in 2022 and the company holding an estimated 18% of market share in the global smartphone industry.

However, alongside the main products which we all know and love, the company has also made quite a name for itself manufacturing tech accessories. Ranging from watches to headphones, there is something for everyone to love. But which are the most helpful in daily life? We run through the top four Apple accessories.

Portable Charger

Yes, every brand has some version of a portable charger, but Apple’s Magsafe battery pack is particularly sleek. Operated with magnets rather than with a cable, it works similarly to all of the company’s other wireless chargers and is perfectly compact for bringing on the move. It’s an ideal travel companion to the ExpressVPN tech survival kit. This accessory is a great one to carry in case of emergency, alongside a portable wi-fi spot, an extra sim, or other similar items. 4 out of 5 on the helpfulness scale, purely because there are likely cheaper options elsewhere.

Airtags

Released in April 2021, Airtags have quickly become one of Apple’s most popular products and an essential part of many people’s lives. Described by Forbes as Apple’s ‘Next Billion Dollar Business’, the product acts as a natural extension of the already widely used FindMy App which is installed on all iPhones upon purchase. Easy to attach to items including keys, wallets, and handbags, the small disk acts as a tracker of your essential items, meaning that you’ll never have to wonder where something is again. While copies have popped up since, the uniqueness of this product is undeniable, landing it a 4.5  out of 5 on the helpfulness scale.

Airpods

Released in 2016, Airpods quickly rose to the top of everyone’s wish list due to their good sound quality and lack of an annoying wire. However, as with all headphones, they have quickly fallen victim to the rapidly changing style cycle, with many consumers opting for over-the-ear headphones, or even wired headphones, according to the Wall Street Journal. Nonetheless, they are a really handy accessory to have, being more comfortable than other in-ear headphones and very easy to fit in your pocket. A 3 out of 5.

Apple Watch

And finally, the Apple Watch. Potentially one of the best tie-in products, it allows you to read and respond to your messages, track your health, and use Apple Pay, essentially making it a tiny phone that sits on your wrist, alongside, obviously a clock. Dominating 50% of its perspective market, it’s popular among all age groups, and for good reason. Sadly, like most Apple products, it’s only compatible with other Apple devices, meaning that it can’t be enjoyed by Android users. For this reason, it receives a 4 out of 5 on the scale.
