Razer recently dropped its first vertical productivity mouse, which overshadowed the more traditional, horizontally-inclined mouse released at the same time.
This is the Razer Pro Click V2, a premium wireless mouse designed around productivity, comfort, and gaming. Razer is positioning the Pro Click V2 as a high-performance alternative to Logitech‘s insanely popular MX Master mice series, and the similarities are obvious.
I already reviewed the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition, but now I want to focus on the pros and cons of the more mainstream half of the Pro Click duo.
The Pro Click V2 is an excellent ergonomic mouse with a great selection of features and reliable performance, and it’s a worthwhile alternative for anyone who wants a top-notch productivity mouse that can also do gaming.
Anyone who works, creates, or games on a desktop PC need a mouse they can trust at their side. I’ve spent thousands of hours with a mouse in my hand, so I know how to put them through their paces and discover if you should consider buying them.

Pro Click V2 review: Pricing and specifications
The Razer Pro Click V2 is a more premium wireless mouse, but its pricing feels very reasonable compared to the fan-favorite Logitech MX Master 3S. This mouse retails for $99.99 at Razer, and is only available in black.
If you prefer vertical mice, you can get a very similar feature set with the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition for $119.99 at Razer. That mouse earned a similar recommendation from me, but you need to really want that vertical design.

Pro Click V2 review: What I like
The Pro Click V2 is very clearly a Razer product, but it does deviate from Razer’s other mice quite drastically due to its primary focus on ergonomics. Hence, the “Pro Click” brand, rather than the snakes Razer names its other mice after.
This is an extremely comfortable mouse, too, with an aggressively angled surface meant to mold to your palm, a thumb rest, and a lovely, grippy texture on both sides.
Razer hasn’t broken the mold with the Pro Click V2’s design, but companies have already spent decades researching the most ergonomic shapes, curves, and profiles — Razer is using all of it, but with its own spin on the formula.
Build quality is excellent, with wonderfully clicky and responsive buttons, a grippy scroll wheel with defined clicks, tilt support, and a free spin mode, a snug garage to store your Razer HyperSpeed Wireless dongle, and subtle metallic accents.
You get a hint of the Pro Click V2’s gaming roots with the sweeping 14-zone Razer Chroma light lining the bottom edge of the mouse. This lighting looks amazing without being distracting, and it practically disappears should you choose to disable it.
It’s not just RGB lighting that allows the Pro Click V2 to compete with the best gaming mice, either.

Despite prioritizing productivity and comfort, the Pro Click V2 is also highly performant thanks to one of Razer’s most tried-and-true optical sensors, wide and near-frictionless PFTE feet, and perfectly reliable wireless connectivity.
It’s precise, smooth, consistent — and that ergonomic design is just forgiving enough to accommodate different grip styles.
If you need to switch between devices, the Pro Click V2 makes that easy, too, with support for up to five connections (one via Razer HyperSpeed 2.4GHz, three via Bluetooth, and one via a wire). Bluetooth is often sacrificed in gaming mice, so I’m glad to see it here.
You don’t have to worry much about battery life, either; the Pro Click V2’s endurance isn’t nearly as impressive as its much larger Vertical Edition sibling, but this mouse can easily go weeks without needing a charge.
Finally, you can optionally install Razer Synapse to access all the Pro Click V2’s additional features, including per-app profiles, button reprogramming, endless shortcuts (with Razer HyperShift support), basic dots-per-inch (DPI) and polling rate performance settings, and more.
Like with the Vertical Edition, the Pro Click V2 also has Razer’s new AI Prompt Master built in, which basically gives you quick access to simple ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot AI features just by long-pressing the scroll wheel. It’s… Fine. Some may find use in it, and others will never be bothered by it.
Pro Click V2 review: What I don’t like
Razer got a lot right with the Pro Click V2, but I do wish the black-and-green company had pushed a little harder in the “productivity” direction. Another reprogrammable button or two would’ve been great, as would’ve been a dedicated button for manually switching between onboard profiles (rather than relying on Synapse to do it for you).
The Logitech MX Master 3S I reviewed is this mouse’s biggest inspiration and competition, and part of what makes that iconic mouse so beloved is the horizontal scroll wheel and the excellent software. Razer could’ve done a little more here.
I’m very glad the Pro Click V2 features Razer’s excellent HyperScroll Tilt Wheel, a feature the Vertical Edition strangely lacks, but this mouse does not support Razer’s Smart-Reel feature, which dynamically switches between tactile and free scrolling depending on the force of your scrolls. I love that feature on my Razer Basilisk V3 Pro.
It’s absolutely not outlandish to suggest the Pro Click V2 is just a little too big. It’s noticeably larger than any of Razer’s dedicated high-performance gaming mice, so those with small hands may not enjoy the same comfort.

✅You should buy this if …
- You want a comfortable, productivity-focused mouse that also games.
- You want plenty of connectivity options, like multiple Bluetooth profiles.
- You can find value in per-app profiles, a built-in AI assistant, and more.
❌You should not buy this if …
- You don’t game at all and simply want the best productivity mouse.
- You have small hands and need a more compact ergonomic mouse.
When I went hands-on with the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition, my first thought was “I’ll probably prefer the non-vertical version.” That wasn’t a dig at the Vertical Edition, simply an acknowledgement that I personally prefer a more horizontal peripheral.
Sure enough, I do prefer the regular Razer Pro Click V2 — it’s insanely comfortable, elegantly designed, and still packs all the performance I could ask for when playing competitive multiplayer games, but in a more familiar form factor and with my favorite HyperScroll Tilt Wheel.
It’s still crafted with productivity and ergonomics at its core, but the Pro Click V2 is — at least on paper — the perfect mouse for someone who works, creates, and games in equal measure (and for hours on end). In other words, me!
I admit, I’m probably returning to the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro we reviewed in the past, if only because of the Smart-Reel and wireless charging features, but the Pro Click V2 is an excellent wireless mouse that is well worth considering, especially if what you want is basically a Logitech MX Master, but for gaming.

The Razer Pro Click V2 is a large, comfortable, and feature-packed wireless mouse that’s dressed to impress and aiming to game. It’s a fantastic blend of productivity features and gaming performance that will appeal to a lot of people, but some will still want a pure productivity mouse, and others will still want a pure gaming mouse.
