We already know that Realme’s GT 2 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s newest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but now we have official word that the flagship smartphone will be unveiled on December 20th. As with the GT Master Edition, Realme has also collaborated with renowned industrial designer, Naoto Fukasawa, to give the GT 2 Pro an eco-friendly aesthetic.

Having achieved the top six worldwide ranking in just over three years, Realme’s flagship GT 2 Pro boasts a design that applies innovative bio-based materials for the time in the mobile phone segment. The eco-friendly material is said to reduce carbon emission by 63% per kilogram whilst maintaining a strong and durable nature.

Other than that, all we really know about the Realme GT 2 Pro is that it will sport a minimum of 65W fast charging and a good amount of storage and memory for its reasonably affordable price, whatever that might be. With the December launch in less than a week’s time, though, we don’t have too much time to wait for the whole enchilada.

He’s been an Android fan ever since owning an HTC Hero, with the Dell Streak being his first phablet. He currently carries a Realme GT Neo 2 in his pockets, a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
