We recently reviewed the Realme Pad tablet and found it to be a creditable option in the affordable Android tablet segment, and now we have the stunning (in green) GT Neo2 smartphone going on sale. Packing in a big 5,000mAh battery with 65W charging, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and what Realme describes as a Digital Urban Design, the GT Neo2 is priced from $425.

The GT Neo2 comes in Neo Blue, Neo Black, and the stunning Neo Green colorway that is offset by the black racing stripes on the glass rear panel, one of which has Realme’s “Dare to Leap” slogan imprinted on it.

A 6.62-inch E4 AMOLED display (from Samsung) with FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080), 397 ppi, and up to 1300 nits peak brightness is present. Surprisingly, the panel also features a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 600Hz touch sampling rate, which should result in buttery smooth scrolling.

Powered by the Snapdragon 870 processor, the GT Neo2 will be sold in 8/128GB and 12/256GB configurations. There’s a 5,000mAh battery to keep the lights on and when you do manage to flatten it, there’s 65W SuperDart charging to recharge it in just 36 minutes.

The 64MP main camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera while the 16MP selfie camera sits in a punch-hole on the top-left corner of the display.

NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual 5G nano-SIM card slots are included, along with an in-display optical fingerprint sensor and a Magnetic Induction Sensor. The GT Neo2 runs Android 11 out of the box with Realme UI 2.0 running on top.

The Realme GT Neo2 has just launched in India for the equivalent of $425 for the 8/128GB variant and $480 for the 12/256GB version. Sadly there’s no word as yet as to when or if the handset will launch in other markets, although we do have one in for review, so keep your eyes open for that.
