Today, we’re only going to talk about the ExpertBook P1 here. The ExpertBook P1 is more for the execs who just stay at the office desk most of the time and does not need the battery life, but still get good performance out of their machines. This particular laptop is equipped with:
-
- 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H
- 16GB of RAM at 5200MT/s
- 512GB storage
The specs of this laptop isn’t exactly the most cutting-edge – we agree, but this laptop is aimed towards the execs in a company. Having an Intel Core i7-13700H with 16GB RAM is something that I can only dream of back in my days when I worked as an exec last time.
We’ve already talked about the AI features with the ExpertMeet suite of features – so you can check out this link to know more about it.
In short, there are already lots of AI features that are housed within the ExpertMeet Panel. They’re still in beta as of now, but they are already very helpful.
Now, aside from the ExpertMeet, we also have to talk about the laptops. The ExpertBook P1 uses a standard 14-inch 1080p 60Hz screen. Both the color accuracy and brightness are definitely not the best when compared to ASUS’s own OLED laptops – but this laptop is meant to be easy on the eyes for long hours anyway, so having less saturated colors can prevent eyestrain.
The screen also has a matte finish – so yes, glare isn’t going to be an issue.
The ports on the ExpertBook P1 are carefully thought out too. It comes with:
-
- HDMI
- 3.5mm combo audio jack
- 2x USB-C at 10Gb/s
- 2x USB-A at 5Gb/s
- Gigabit Ethernet
The keyboard and trackpad on the the P1 is very basic keyboard that just don’t feel that nice to type on, yet the trackpad is also rather small. I assume the trackpad is okay since most people will prefer to use an external mouse anyway.
Should you buy the ASUS ExpertBook P1?
It’s quite difficult to judge as the ExpertBook is meant to be tiered according to the role in the company. Different roles in the company will have different needs – so the ExpertBook series is meant to fulfill all those different roles with many different types of laptops.
I urge you to check out the review of the ExpertBook P5 before making any purchase.
