Samsung has really come to the party in terms of software updates over the past 18-months or so and after rolling out Android 11 and One UI 3.0 to its affordable Galaxy S20 FE flagship during January, users can now look forward to One UI 3.1 coming to their phones via OTA.

The One UI 3.1 update bumps the build version to G781BXXU2CUB5 on the Galaxy S20 FE and is already rolling out in the following European countries:

    • The Netherlands
    • Spain
    • Switzerland
    • Italy
    • Greece
    • France
    • Portugal
    • United Kingdom
    • Czech Republic
    • Germany
    • Romania
    • Baltic
    • Poland
    • Nordic

Other regions should soon begin getting notifications that the OTA is available to download and install over the coming days and weeks.

The One UI 3.1 update brings the option of choosing Google Discover instead of Samsung Daily or Free as well as the ability to remove location data from phones, and add video call effects in third-party apps. You can also expect to see some minor UI tweaks present.

If you haven’t received notification of the update yet it’s always worth heading over to Settings, Software Update, and giving the old Download and Install button a couple of taps to see if you can prompt Samsung’s servers into dishing up the OTA for your device.
