Android smartphones are convenient, but they’re limited by their relatively small screens. That is the exact problem that foldables are attempting to solve, but even then, there are a lot of compromises that those devices make that mean they’re still far away from actually being a replacement for tablets—yes, even tri-folds.
That’s why Android tablets are still doing their thing, and in the Android space, those who want tablets that perform excellently need to turn their sights towards Samsung (amongst others). The Galaxy Tab S10 FE series is expected to launch very soon, and ahead of that, here’s essentially a complete glimpse into their specs.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Series Sticks to the Same Safe Style
A tablet doesn’t need to be a good-looking piece of tech. Compared to smartphones, they tend to be a lot more functional, either for those who want to use them to play games, watch videos on a bigger screen, or get work done. Besides, there’s little that can be done to make a flat slab look sexy. In the case of the Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+, their designs are very familiar.
Don’t expect anything drastically different, as both upcoming tablets are essentially the same as the devices in the main lineup, particularly the Galaxy Tab S10+. Sure, there’s only one camera here, but just like the Tab S10+, they don’t have a notch, opting instead for equal bezels all around. It’s a simple look, but it works. I won’t give Samsung any flak this time.
The Tab S10 FE Specs Have Been Revealed in Full
Thanks to leaker Arsene Lupin on X, we now have a complete look at the spec sheets of the Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+. Let’s talk about them.
Both devices will have 90Hz LCD displays, but the Tab S10 FE will measure at 10.9 inches while naturally, the Plus model will push that up to 13.1 inches. That’s bigger than the regular Tab S10+. Both devices will turn to Samsung for a chip, which is the Exynos 1580, same as the Galaxy A56. You will have a 13MP camera on the back and a 12MP selfie camera on the front.
An 8,000mAh battery will ship inside the Tab S10 FE, and the Tab S10 FE+ will use a 10,090mAh cell. Both will have 45W fast charging—necessary considering those battery capacities. The device will be available in either 128GB or 256GB storage variants, but you will thankfully be able to expand the storage with an SD card—after all, there are no space constraints to use as an excuse for not including a memory card slot.
The Pricing Is on the Higher End of Business
Samsung’s FE, or Fan Edition, models tend to cut corners for the sake of affordability for Samsung “fans”. That’s how it used to be, at least. These days, FE models might have pricing that doesn’t quite make them the best choice, especially if you have no reservations about buying an older flagship device.
The same leaker revealed the pricing for the devices, and the Tab S10 FE will be starting at €579 while the Tab S10 FE+’s cheapest variant will be all the way at €749. That’s a €50 price hike compared to the Tab S9 FE models, so that’s not great. Getting 5G connectivity will cost an extra €100 regardless of the model or storage variant too.
