Do you know what’s better than a separate webcam and monitor? A hybrid device that merges webcam and monitor into one, which is exactly what Samsung has just released today in the new 24-inch S4 monitor.

Much like a laptop, you won’t need a dedicated webcam if you have this monitor. Instead, the webcam is integrated. It also comes with a built-in microphone and speakers, so it really has all the hardware you need to attend virtual meetings. And who doesn’t want to attend more meetings?

“With many adjusting to long-term hybrid work and learning environments, Samsung introduces its first webcam monitor to make life easier for those often on video calls or multitasking,” said Mark Quiroz, Vice President of Marketing for the Display Division at Samsung.

As far as the actual camera, it’s a 2.0-megapixel FHD camera and with infrared support. The pop-up camera can be pushed into the monitor for those worried about privacy, so it won’t see you when you’re not actively attending a meeting. It makes logging into your Windows PC quick and easy, thanks to Windows Hello support.

The monitor itself won’t blow you away with its specs, but its 1920×1080 resolution and 178-degree viewing angle get the job done. Samsung typically delivers in terms of displays, and this one should be no different.
