It wasn’t too long ago that we reported on a rumor saying that Samsung would hold an Unpacked event on February 8th where it would officially unveil the new Galaxy S22 series. Whilst close to the mark, it seems that the February 8th date is a little premature because a new report from a more reliable source says that Samsung will unleash the Galaxy S22 range a day later on February 9th.

Thanks to a post that Evan Blass shared on his now-private Twitter account, we have an image that says a Galaxy Unpacked event will be held at 15:00 on February 9th. According to Samsung, the Unpacked event will be ‘Epic’, and so it could well be if both the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones and Galaxy Tab S8 series of tablets are unveiled on the same day.

While we wait for Samsung to confirm or deny the February 9th date, don’t forget that you can sign up to reserve a Galaxy S22 handset or Galaxy Tab S8 tablet and get $50 in credit on the Samsung Store, listed below:

He currently carries a Realme GT Neo 2 in his pockets, a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
