While Samsung hasn’t officially announced the date on which it will unveil the Galaxy S22 series it is expected that February 8th will be the day that an Unpacked event will be held to unleash the company’s newest flagship devices. Perhaps of more interest is the report that the upcoming Galaxy S22 series could be as much as $100 more expensive than the Galaxy S21 range of handsets.

According to KFC Simp (@chunvn8888), the base model Galaxy S22 will go on sale priced from $899, the Galaxy S22+ from $1,099, and the top of the range Galaxy S22 Ultra with its S Pen stylus from $1,299.

The report also shares some details on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 series of tablets, including the Tab S8 Ultra which sports a mammoth 14.6-inch display. As you might expect to see with Samsung’s premium range of Android tablets, the documented prices are not what you might call affordable in any way. The base Tab S8 will apparently cost under $850 while the Plus model is said to be priced between $900-1000. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra could cost more than $1,100 depending on the amount of storage and if it has cellular connectivity in addition to WiFi.

Let us know in the comments below what you make of the reported prices for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 ranges.
