Satechi Announces A Dedicated Hub For Apple’s New 24-Inch iMac

Apple’s new 24-inch iMac is probably the best and most stylish all-in-one computer Apple has ever made. Available in a range of colors and with a beautifully slender screen. However, all iMacs suufer from the same problem of having all its ports at the rear and it’s such a pain having to stand up and then poke around the back of the iMac to access the ports.

Satechi, the Mac accessory brand, has addressed this shortcoming by designing a stylish hub that brings all the rear ports of the new iMac to the front of the machine where they are easier to access. And as the latest iMac is a bit light on ports, the new Satechi aluminum USB-C Clamp Hub could end up being the new iMac’s most popular accessories.

The new Satechi hub adds functionality by connecting to one of the iMac’s USB-C port. There are three USB 3.0 ports provided with up to 5Gb/s for fast and secure data transfer. Also on offer is a Micro/SD card reader plus a 3.5mm jack for a pair of headphones.

The hub is easy to set up and only takes up one of the iMac’s USB-C ports. The hub fastens can be mounted on the iMac using an adjustable knob and no drivers or special installation skills are required. Once fitted, the Satechi aluminum USB-C Clamp Hub frees up valuable desk space and the design won’t spoil the great looks of Apple’s latest desktop.

Pricing and Availability: The new Satechi USB-C Clamp Hub is available now for pre-order in silver for $54.99. Forbes readers can claim a 15% discount with the code “IMAC15” from now until the hub is in-stock in mid-September.
