Satechi is best known for its chargers, USB hubs, and other plug-in Mac accessories. But it just launched a hardshell case for the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro (2021 model), and to our surprise, this case is practically invisible.

The new Eco-Hardshell case attaches to the top and bottom of your 2021 MacBook Pro using a few small plastic lips. It’s similar to the Hardshell Dot cases sold by Incase, with a tough design and integrated rubber feet. The big difference, interestingly, is that Satechi’s Eco-Hardshell case leaves a ton of room for USB accessories, including Satechi Pro hubs.

I should also note that the Eco-Hardshell case is treated with an anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint finish. In theory, it should look crisp even after years of use, despite the semi-translucent design (some MacBook cases have a texture or pattern that helps hide scuffs and scratches).

Satechi’s Eco-Hardshell case is available today for $44, though you can get it for just $35 with coupon code “MAC20” if you order before October 21st. Note that this case only fits on the 2021 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro.
