Fire TV Stick models – save up to 50%
There are big discounts on all the Fire TV Stick models – Lite, 4K, 4K Max – with savings up to 50%. This is one of the cheapest and best ways to make your TV smart. Prices from £17.99.

We’re expecting iPad deals as we get close to Black Friday, but Amazon’s tablets usually lead the discounts.
Amazon Fire HD 8 – save 61%
The excellent Fire HD 8 has a £55 discount bringing it down to £34.99. That’s a great price for an 8in tablet ideal for entertainment. It’s the cheapest it’s been so far.
New Kindle Paperwhite – save £35
The new 2021 Kindle Paperwhite is slimmer, faster and with a bigger display than the old model. This is the first discount it’s had, with prices from £94.99.
TVs
There are usually extensive TV discounts around Black Friday – perfect for getting a TV in before Christmas.
LG OLED55CS – save £80
This LG OLED is basically 2021’s LG C1 with a 2022 LG C2 processor. You don’t get this year’s brighter evo panel, but at this price, you may not miss it. Save £80 off this 55in version, now £889.
LG OLED55C2 – save £220
Not only is the LG C2 one of the best TVs you can buy this year, its now at its lowest price ever in the 55in size, with a £100 voucher off to boot. That makes it £1049, saving £220 – just don’t forget to tick the box to apply the voucher.
Samsung The Frame (2021) – save £300
Samsung’s Frame TV delivers all the picture quality of Samsung’s QLED TVs when its on, but when it’s off, it transforms into a piece of art, with its frame-like bezel really helping it look the part. You can now pick up the 65in model of last year’s version for £999, saving £300.
Philips The One (PUS8807) – save £130
Philips The One TV is the TV that brings together a lot of features that people will love – including three-sided Ambilight, HDMI 2.1 connectivity and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support – into a great panel at a great price. And that price is even better now, saving you £130 on this 50in model, now costing just £549.
Save 50% on Roku streamers
There are discounts across the Roku range, with 50% off. The Roku Express is now £13.99, Roku Express 4K is just £29.99 and Roku Streambar is £98.99.
When is Black Friday 2022?
Black Friday is officially Friday 25 November 2022 and Cyber Monday will be on Monday 28 November 2022.
But the sales will start well before these dates, with deals appearing from early November.
Currys PC World reported six orders per second during Black Friday 2020, and during the first 16 hours of Black Friday 2019, Amazon UK says its customers ordered more than 180,000 video games and accessories, over 170,000 kitchen products while the best-selling tech was its own products, Hue smart bulbs, Sony’s wireless noise-cancelling headphones, and the Ultimate Ears Boom 2 speaker.

What are Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
Originally a US-only event, Black Friday has stretched across the pond and to other regions too. It’s a single day in November, the day after the US holiday of Thanksgiving, where retailers heavily discount thousands of items in the build-up to Christmas.
Many retailers now start their Black Friday deals early, meaning that the Black Friday period can last for the entire second half of November. Retailers like to make the most of the opportunity to sell more products in an ever-more competitive market.
Black Friday is followed by Cyber Monday. Originally this saw online sales following the store sales, but now it’s very much part of the big sale season, falling on the Monday after Black Friday. Typically most of the best deals now appear before Black Friday or on the day itself, while Cyber Monday often doesn’t deliver much more.
Tips for bagging a Black Friday bargain

1. Check out the competition
The first thing to check is if an offer really is as good as it sounds. Is the same TV available at an even better price elsewhere?
2. See through the ‘normal price’ bluff
Shops often dress discounts up to look bigger than they are. They do this by raising the price shortly before the sale and then compare the sale price to this elevated standard price.
3. Compare the features

5. It’s not just gadgets
A lot of people still associate Black Friday with electronics. This is no longer the case. In fact, a diverse range of shops discount their products. Last year, PriceSpy saw an average saving of 15 per cent off its home and garden category.
