The MacBook Pro is the gold standard of Apple laptops, but it’s always a bit prohibitively expensive compared to the MacBook Air range. Now, with today’s discount, that gap is even thinner.
The M4-powered MacBook Pro, which typically starts at $1,599, can now be had for just $1,347, a 16% discount that knocks a whopping $250 off its original price—and makes for probably the best laptop you can buy for under $1,500.
The M4-powered MacBook Pro is Apple’s most powerful MacBook Pro range to date. There are a few discounted models, but the one with the most significant discount is the base model which packs a regular M4 chip, 16GB of unified memory, and 512GB of storage. We have a better screen, better port selection, including an HDMI port and an SD card slot, and active cooling rather than passive cooling. Since it’s thicker, you should also get better battery life than with the MacBook Air, though the MacBook Air’s battery life was already pretty good.
