Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game re-releasing on Jan. 14 after holiday delay

Prepare to feel the wrath of the League of Evil Exes again, as the beloved videogame adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’s re-release finally has a launch date. It’ll be available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on Jan. 14, 2021.

Based on the popular comic book series and movie of the same name, the re-release is the complete edition of the game and includes the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells Add-On packs, which include online multiplayer, as well as the Battle Royale and Dodgeball game modes.

Lauded for its pixel art, old-school brawler gameplay, and excellent soundtrack, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game was one of the best beat ’em up games for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It quickly became a cult classic, even more so when it was delisted from digital storefronts in 2014.

Cyber Monday may be over but these Cyber Week deals are still alive

Ubisoft has not announced if it’ll be available physically, but series creator Bryan Lee O’Malley hinted on Twitter that there might be a physical release after the initial launch, but that the decision is ultimately up to Ubisoft.

Previously announced as a Holiday 2020 title, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game just missed celebrating its 10th anniversary along with the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie.
