If you work remotely and are looking to start your workday off on the east coast, you may run into some issues. Slack is down, with a massive spike in outage reports beginning around 9:25 AM on February 22, 2022. Due to the outage, hybrid and remote workers may not be able to communicate. Additionally, office jokes about today being “Twosday” (2/2/22 or 22/2/22 depending on your region) will have to wait or be sent through email.
In under an hour, over 10,000 outage reports have been sent to DownDetector. That number continues to rise quickly. The Slack Status Twitter account replied to an outage report this morning.
Slack’s outage appears to align with reports of Amazon Web Services (AWS) being down as well, though they could be unrelated.
